Robertson Metals Recycling’s head office is located in Inverkeithing, Fife. Operating under a Pollution Prevention Control (PPC) permit, this concreted 17 acre facility incorporates its own sheltered dockside port, a 5000HP Metso Lindemann Fragmentiser and a 600t Lefort Shear. Annually, the facility processes and exports around 200,000 tonnes of scrap metal.
Originally established to dismantle ships built for action in World War 1 along with famous merchant vessels including the Mauretania. The facility maintains its historic background by retaining many artefacts from ship breaking and visitors are often delighted to read the names, of the many dismantled vessels, engraved along the wood panelled entrance lobby.
Secondary is our purpose-built scrap facility in Dundee, Tayside. This facility, which includes the subsidiary company Dundee Decommissioning Ltd, operates from a fully concreted site located within the Port of Dundee. With direct access from the main road into the facility, this site includes a 600t Lefort Shear and depollution apparatus to ensure vehicles are scrapped in accordance with the environmental legislation. Also located on a dockside, this facility is designed to receive and process small to medium structures and flowlines/umbilicals arising from the North Sea Oil and Gas Decommissioning projects.
